Our Process

Discover the ins and outs of ART Solar’s comprehensive approach to providing custom solar solutions. This page offers valuable insights into our 6-step process, from identifying your energy needs to the final system commissioning.

Step 1

IDENTIFY YOUR NEEDS

We offer three different types of solutions that help you protect yourself from load-shedding, save money, or both. The solution chosen will depend on your requirements.

As each design is bespoke, once you identify your requirements, the team will then design the solution catering for your requirements. The 3 systems offered are Off-grid, Grid-Tied and Hybrid.

Step 2

SITE ASSESSMENT

Once your ideal solution has been identified, an engineer will conduct a site visit to determine the best solution based on your energy and power requirements as well as your roof space available and loads required on the system.

On a commercial/Industrial scale, we will install energy meters at your establishment for one week to get an accurate reading of your energy consumption patterns.

Step 3

SYSTEM DESIGN & PROPOSAL

Once the team has ascertained your requirements and obtained the relevant information required to design the system, they will then use software in order to determine the number of panels that will fit onto your roof and the best placement of the panels on your roof to achieve the highest power generation.

For commercial/Industrial installations, the data obtained from the energy meters will be used to size the system appropriately. The same software is used to determine the number of panels that will fit onto the roof as well as panel placement.

The software will also assist the team to determine the savings that will be achieved after installation of the system and the Return of Investment in commercial/industrial scale projects.

Step 4

ACCEPTANCE OF THE QUOTATION

As soon as the sales agreement has been signed and payment has been completed, the project will commence within 7-10 working days depending on availability of components. A structural engineer will conduct a site visit to assess the roof structure and provide the necessary certification.

For commercial installations a structural engineers assessment is included in the cost and for residential projects, the structural engineer is an optional extra which can be included should the customer deem it necessary.

Step 5

INSTALLATION

Within 5-7 days, your installation will be completed. Every technician and engineer involved in your installation will be a qualified and accredited ARTsolar installer, meaning they have been fully vetted, and trained. This ensures that the installation process is standardised, giving us greater quality control and management of each site.

Step 6

SYSTEM COMMISSIONING

The system will now be switched on and synced with the application on your smartphone so that you can monitor your usage and power production remotely.

Our PR Engineer will sign off the documents ensuring that your system can be registered with the relevant authority. Every component used is NRS compliant, ensuring that the system is compliant with all regulations.

You will be issued a certificate of compliance upon completion of the installation. You will also be issued with a fire extinguisher and safety videos.

Should you require any assistance thereafter, the team will be available 24/7 to assist.
